Pittsburgh International Airport has a good reputation. It's been ranked among the top airports in the U.S. and the world by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine, J.D. Power and Associates and OAG (Official Airline Guide) in recent years. This can be credited in part to the airport's easy-to-navigate hub and spoke gate system and over a hundred shops and restaurants which are mandated to not over-charge. The airport has a large landside terminal (landside meaning before security) and four concourses. Gate E, the closest concourse to the terminal, serves commuter flights. The rest of the concourses, Gates A, B, C and D, are spokes off of a central building called Core. The airport is served by over 15 major airlines and several regional jet services offering 600 nonstop flights per day to 118 destinations. The dominant presence at the airport is US Airways, which uses the airport as its largest domestic and international hub.

  • Great access, very easy to travel through, and went through the whole thing!
  • Some of the ceilings were having paint stripped off, and there were similar things like that.

“It's wonderful, its fun you have to ride a train to get to the main gates, but it isn't a hassle its fast its only a 2 minute ride so you don't have to sit and wait for one forever and you get there fast! Couldn't believe how many shops there were. I love exploring airports and Pittsburgh is one that I really enjoyed!”

  • Very easy to get in and out of.
  • I'll let you know when I find something negative about it.

“Pittsburgh International Airport in my opinion is The Best Airport in the U.S. The service you receive is great and the airport is easy to get in and out of. Everything is well marked and there is also a varsity of places to eat. I would highly recommend this airport to anyone who is traveling in the North Eastern U.S.”
