Eppley Airfield, located four miles northeast of downtown Omaha, is Nebraska's largest airport and gateway to the friendly Midwest. Nine major airlines including Midwest Airlines, Southwest, American, Delta, United and Continental operate at the airport offering nonstop service to 16 U.S. destinations. The airport consists of a two-level main terminal connecting to north and south concourses. Ticketing and baggage claim are on the lower terminal level and access to the gates and food courts are on the upper level. Passenger traffic at the airport doubled in the '90s, so the airport has undertaken several airport and roadway improvement projects to better accommodate this rapid growth.
