Greenville Spartanburg International Airport

The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is located in upstate South Carolina, midway between the cities of Greenville and Spartanburg on I-85. The airport is served by eight major airlines offering nonstop service to 16 cities across the U.S. Most commercial airlines use smaller regional jet planes at the airport, however a recent runway expansion makes it possible to land any aircraft currently in operation. The airport consists of a small main terminal connected to a long and narrow concourse building. Two concourses, with a total of 11 gates, are on either end of the building with a full-service restaurant in the middle. Outside the restaurant, you'll find a plasma screen monitor that displays a map of the eastern half of the United States with plane icons showing the real-time locations of arrivals and departures. It also displays active weather systems, so you can actually see the storm that's delaying your flight or the bumpy skies that lie ahead.
