Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport1 Aviation Circle, Washington, DCWeb: Visit this site » Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is the closest airport to the nation's capital located in Arlington, Va. across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. In 1997, the previously overcrowded and dated airport was transformed by the opening of a new terminal - called Terminal B/C-that features a "National Hall" of better than usual shops and eateries under soaring windows and 54 "Jeffersonian" domes that mirror the capital's trademark architecture. The terminal also offers direct access to the Metro, D.C.'s efficient subway system, making it easy to access downtown D.C. and beyond. Primarily serving as a short-haul airport, Reagan National offers nonstop service to destinations no farther than a 1,250 mile perimeter from Washington, D.C. with the exception of daily flights to Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Salt Lake City and Seattle.
