Whether you're coming home or just visiting, the views from the Colorado Springs Airport will get you humming "Rocky Mountain High." The airport's three-level, 16-gate modern facility features numerous skylights and large windows that provide views of Pikes Peak and Colorado's Front Range. Besides getting distracted by the panoramic views or the airport's numerous art displays, you can quickly navigate the airport as the farthest gate is less than 1,000 feet from the airline ticket counters or the baggage claim. It may be compact, but the airport still handles around 110 arrivals and departures per day and is served by eight airlines including United with the largest share of passengers. The airport is located approximately 25 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs and 75 minutes from Denver making it a viable alternative to DIA for those living in or visiting the southern part of the Denver metropolitan area.
