Boston's Logan International Airport is the busiest airport in the New England region and the nineteenth busiest in the nation. Over 30 domestic and international airlines offer nonstop service to hundreds of destinations around the U.S. and abroad, especially Europe. The high passenger volume combined with ongoing construction projects at the airport and nearby roadways can make this gateway to New England feel more like a bottleneck. The large scale Logan Modernization project seeks to alleviate the congestion and improve the airport's efficiency - for planes and people.
