Bradley International Airport, located 12 miles north of Hartford, Conn., and 12 miles south of Springfield, Mass., markets itself as a hassle-free alternative to big city airports (code for LaGuardia and JFK). It boasts a convenient, central location and a new, modern terminal with a traveler-friendly layout. Also, due to its inland location, Bradley is often open when the other airports on the eastern seaboard are closed due to inclement weather.
