'We Will Rock You' is a musical pile-drive across time and space, a rock opera based on the music of legendary British rockers, Queen. The cleverly disguised humor, ala Rocky & Bullwinkle, is geared toward the Baby Boomers and Gen X group. The language is hip, occasionally profane, and even though the story line itself is a little off base, the emotional music and strong vocals make this a very fun evening. Set in a future of about 50 years hence, globalization is complete, the earth isn't what it used to be, and all musical instruments have been destroyed: except one. And our hero, who doesn't realize he's destined to save rock `n roll, is to find the hidden guitar to let the good times roll. With `Bohemian Rhapsody,' `We Are The Champions,' `Another One Bites The Dust,' `Crazy Little Thing Called Love,' plus 21 more hit songs, 'We Will Rock You' makes it impossible to sit still. It's directed by Ben Elton, and designed by Mark Fisher. At just under two hours, 'We Will Rock You,' playing in the hotel's Le Theatre des Arts, with comfy seating for 1400, is a thoroughly invigorating stop whenever you are in Las Vegas, even if you're not staying at the Paris resort.
