Movin' Out's characters have roots in Billy Joel's lyrics, including Brenda and Eddie in 'Scenes from an Italian Restaurant,' Tony and Sergeant O'Leary from 'Movin' Out,' and Judy from 'Why, Judy, Why,' whose story is told entirely via dance, with no dialogue. Billy Joel's ballads like 'Big Shot,' 'Innocent Man,' 'Uptown Girl,' 'Piano Man,' and 'She's Got a Way,' consistently touch listeners with their simple emotional message about ordinary people dealing with complex feelings and circumstances.
