Sir Hans Heysen is one of Australia's best-loved artists. His family home nestles among the majestic gum trees, which graced many of his works. The surrounding gardens were also an inspiration to this remarkable man. Amble through the delightful gardens or visit Heysen's studio, largely undisturbed since his death in 1968. A visit to either is food for the soul. Visits to the garden and shop are free; inspection of the studio and house, including many original works, is by guided tour. Tours: 11am, 1pm and 3pm (summer); 11am and 2pm (winter). Admission: Adults AUD8; children free; concession AUD5.50.
