Sweden's largest botanical gardens are located in Gothenburg. The park is home to about 12000 plant species. It is a grand park with a bamboo grove, a bulb garden, greenhouses, a herb garden, a Japanese valley, a rock garden and an arboretum with trees and bushes from all over the world. The greenhouses sport orchids and carnivorous plants, among other things. There is also a beautiful Rhododendron Valley. The Nature Reserve has a landscape with typical plants from western Sweden. Next to the rock garden, there is a hill with a fine view over the western part of Gothenburg and Slottskogen. There is also a cafe, plus a restaurant and a shop in the park.
