Lush green grass and large trees infuse this cemetary with a quiet serenity and a sense of comfort that is felt immediately. The headstones are primarily in the shape of crosses of varying sizes, and the surrounding wall is a sturdy enclosure of cut stone. The cemetery is managed by the St. James Parish Council, while the grounds are maintained by the Hart Group. The gates are kept locked, but the Jamaica National Heritage Trust can be contacted for entry.
