Christmas Market

This event is a festive one, especially for kids. On Christmas morning, parents take their children to this Christmas market to purchase gifts and toys. The laughter and excitement as one strolls through the crowd is almost something that can be touched. On Christmas Market Day, most streets that lead to the regular market are blocked. Most notably is King Street, Kingston, which is transformed into a sea of colour. Each parish has its own market. This is the culmination of Grand Market, which is the all-night selling on Christmas Eve. There are street dances and festivity throughout the night.
