Eva Wilkin Gallery (The)

Set in an 18th-century windmill, this gallery is a tribute to the late artist Eva Wilkin, famous for her local scenes, especially portraits of children. Her paintings and murals are seen in many places around the island, but a permanent collection is now housed here. This lovely gallery, surrounded by beautiful gardens and fabulous views of Mount Nevis, also exhibits works of contemporary Nevisian artists. The shop sells prints by Wilkin and others, plus photos, fine art prints, antique maps and prints, and cards and paper items. Wilkin lived at the estate after studying art in England until her death in 1989. Today it is run by Howard and Marlene, both accomplished artists in their own right.
