Sigismund's Chapel is the most stunning of several chapels that surround Wawel Cathedral. The chapels were built as funery chapels for Poland's ruling dynasties. It was built in the 15th Century and despite the enormous value of the gilt dome it has miraculously remained untouched throughout Krakow's troubled history.
