Kad v'Homer

9 Kikar Safra, (by the City Hall), Jerusalem, Israel
Tel: +972 2624 5329

Owners, Betsy and Huti, opened Israel's one and only paint-your-own pottery shop in March. The premises are light and airy with seating for 30. There are over 100 different items to decorate, ranging in price from door nameplates (NIS 25) to a monster cookie jar (NIS 200). There is an impressive array of Judaica to paint: mezuzot, seder plates, hand-washing cups, menorahs for Chanucah and honey pots for Rosh Hashana. The price of each object includes studio costs, firing and glazing. Expect to wait up to five days for items to be ready. Dates, bridal showers and student get-togethers also take place over paint and pottery. Gift vouchers are available. Paint seven objects and receive the eighth for free.
