Dalnavert (Sir Hugh John Macdonald House)

The Manitoba Historical Society (MHS) saved this century-old house in 1969, when it was slated for demolition. The MHS spent a half-million dollars for a meticulous restoration of the Queen Anne Revival home. With the exception of the gift shop, the creators of this venue have been successful in portraying the style of an affluent Victorian household.
It is located down the street from the Winnipeg Convention Centre and near downtown attractions such as the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Parliament Building, and Portage Place Mall.
Admission: Adults $4; Seniors $3; Youths 5-17 $1.50.
