The name Bathsheba has become world renowned as one of the best locations to surf, and each year in November the Independence Pro Surfing Championships are held here. This is the signature picture postcard beauty spot of Barbados. Its famous landscape features boulders rising up from the sea, broken off from ancient coral reefs and hewn by the forceful winds of the Atlantic Ocean. Take in some real Barbadian grub at several restaurants in the area or walk on the beautiful white beach. Swimming is only for those who can manage the surf.
