Binondo ChurchQuentin Paredes Street at Plaza Calderon de la Barca, Binondo, Manila, PhilippinesTel: +63 2 524 7141 (PTA) Erected in 1596, Binondo Church is one of the oldest places of Christian worship in the Philippines, but over the centuries the original edifice has sustained considerable damage from earthquakes and other natural disasters. Today the octagonal bell tower is all that remains of the 16th century construction. The upkeep of the present church is largely funded by the Catholic Chinese community, many of whom reside or operate businesses in neighboring Chinatown.

“Very nice historical church in the heart of Chinatown in the Philippines. Beautiful paintings on the ceilings and you just feel the history of the church. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Just be careful of the traffic. Pedestrians do not have the right of way in the Philippines.” Popular Attractions in ManilaView all attractions in Manila
