Victor Harbor beach may not be Australia's red-centre desert, but at least the camels look similar! So if the kids are giving you the hump or you just need the challenge of staying upright on the back of an awkward animal, then head-on down to Victor for a trek along the beach. The camel safari operates during daylight most weekends but phone first to confirm. You will not get to see Ayers Rock on this particular trek, but it should be easier to find an ice cream afterwards!
