Bay of Plenty Piers
Golden Mile, Durban, South AfricaAmidst the glitz of north beach, there is a pier at the Bay of Plenty which is a favourite for anglers. There are, in fact, two piers where angling can be practised, although beware, there is a sign at the end of the pier stating the times when angling is permitted. The beach itself, is a good one for the family, it is less developed and less crowded, although there are still limited facilities. It is also a popular beach for working up a tan so don't hook a bather by mistake. The large amusement park to the north, behind Battery Beach, is a good place for families to spend a day, there is the Waterworld (which includes a fun park) and Animal Farm.
