Sufi Saheb Badsha Peer Darbar50 Soofie Saheb Drive, Durban North, Durban, South AfricaThis picturesque mosque is situated on the banks of the Umgeni River, north of the city centre. It is most beautiful at dawn when the gentle light of the rising sun reflects pink off the waters of the Umgeni and the pale walls of the mosque. This beautiful building has been declared a National Monument. Together with its grand dome and towering minarets, it has become one of Durbans most treasured sights. Visitors are welcome, but must remove their shoes before entering. There is a separate entrance for men and women.
