Truly a place to be passionate about, this heaven-sent wonder offers unusual red-rock formations combined with a small-town feel. Reputed to be one of four highly powerful spiritual locations due to unusual energy vortexes, New Age shops and psychics abound here. Make it a day trip from Phoenix in less than two hours. On the way, check out the shopping at Tlaquepaque, truly an artistic delight. Sedona and nearby Oak Creek offer higher elevations and cooler temperatures, averaging about 74 degrees throughout the year.
