This ice-rink is located to the west of Mini-town on the Durban Beachfront. It is a pretty standard rink although the ice can become a little soft by the end of the day. Skates can be hired for a small fee, though they can be hit and miss; varying between shockingly old and well worn, to fairly new. Be sure to bring a thick pair of socks. There is a safe deposit room where you can leave your shoes. It is closed on Tuesdays except during school holidays when it is open every day. They have a supper special where you pay R25 for a skate + burger + coke. Wednesday is ladies night. Thursday is students night. In low season there are 3 daily sessions, with 5 sessions in high season.
