Sabil-Kuttab of Abdel Katkhudael Muizz Street, Al Azhar District, Cairo, EgyptA 'kottab' is somewhere young children would go to receive an elementary education in the Quran, a 'sabil' is fountain. This building fulfils two things commended by the Prophet: water and enlightenment for the ignorant. It was built in 1744 by Katkhuda, a wealthy Egyptian patron of architecture. Not to be missed!
