Jan Matejko was a 19th century painter who shaped the historical imaginations of the Poles. He painted most of the glorious victories of Polish armies, of kings of Poland, of celebrities of Polish history etc. The museum - located in the painter's house - brings together a collection of personal items, sketches and drawings. Admission is 4 zl. and English-language tours cost 70 zl.
