Although many come to visit the Museo de Arte Colonial or Museum of Colonial Art, if you have included colonial architecture on your holiday itinerary, you will certainly appreciate a visit to the large building that houses this museum. Once the home of independence hero General Juan Antonio Paredes, it was constructed between the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th centuries, and has since been faithfully restored. This must be one of the best remaining examples of colonial architecture preserved in the Andean region, which was decreed a National Monument in 1962. Admission: BS 300.
