Host to some four million visitors a year, Folsom Lake offers 18,000 acres of water open to fishing, water-skiing and boating; plus plenty of land for hiking, horseback riding, camping and picnicking. Hike, bike or ride on more than 80 miles of trails, or fish for trout, catfish, bass, perch and kokanee with a valid California fishing license. Stables, beaches and marinas are also provided. The park entry fee is $3 per car.
