120 Armenian Street120 Lebuh Armenian, Penang, MalaysiaTel: +60 4 261 6663 (Penang Tourist Centre) Although the last of the small but prominent merchant Armenians have departed, their street stayed behind in name and in spirit. Most famous were the Sarkies brothers who founded a slew of hotels (Raffles Hotel in Singapore; the Eastern & Oriental Hotel and the Crag Hotel in Penang). House number 120, a private residence today, is distinguished not so much by its pretty indigo-blue exterior, but as once the regional headquarters of Dr Sun Yat Sun's Tung Meng Hooi party and the pioneer office of Malaysia's oldest Mandarin daily, the Kwong Wah Jit Poh. Donation of MYR3 is welcome. .
