This tiny enclave of humble fishing folks at the south eastern tip of the island achieved mainstream tourism renown because of a size 33 left foot imprint on a boulder by the beach. The origin of the Bigfoot is contested by: the Chinese who earnestly believed Admiral Cheng Ho was the Bigfoot: Indian elders thought the monkey God, Hanuman, had planted a step here while leaping the oceans: native Malays pointed to three other similar footprints elsewhere to corroborate a conjecture of a fleeing giant.
