What better thing is there to do on a lovely summer day than to leisurely walk beside the river or to just sit and have a picnic and watch the boats go by? Riverside Walk stretches from Ouse Bridge to Lendal Bridge and beyond. Just before you approach Lendal Bridge the walk takes you through gardens where there are shady trees and benches so that you can stop and appreciate the loveliness of the city from that side of the river. From the opposite bank you can see the Guildhall and a little further past Lendal Bridge the Museum Gardens can be viewed extending down to the river.
