Visitors to the museum can view the distilling process including the preparation of a local favourite, Sullivans Cove Whisky, and learn the history of distilling. Tasmania offers perfect water, peat and the air needed to produce an ideal whisky, so why not compare the local product with the famous Scottish brands? The museum and working distillery are housed in the old Hobart gasworks which is an interesting landmark in itself.
