Battery Point is the historic centre of Hobart, a district of grand mansions, quaint mariners' cottages and boatyards. The area is beautifully preserved and is just the place for a quiet stroll to absorb the ambience of colonial Hobart. Alternatively, it is a wonderful area in which to take the perfect photograph or just enjoy the streetscapes and the glimpses of the harbour between the buildings. A variety of restaurants, pubs, boutiques, galleries and beautiful colonial accommodation complete the experience.
