Whale WatchingRincón Tourism Information Center, Rincon, PRTel: (787) 823-5024 Accompanied by their exotic and sometimes mysterious chants, the endangered humpback whales migrate to the tropics, primarily for breeding and calving. Rincon, the westernmost town of Puerto Rico, is a very popular whale sighting area during the peak season that extends from January 15 through March 15. The El Faro(lighthouse) Park is a great vantage point for viewing the whales, but for those who want to get up close and personal, tour operators like Viking Fleet and West Coast Charters offer day excursions.
