Club Nautico La Horadada

Avenida de la Reina Victoria, s/n, Santander, Spain
Tel: +34 942 280402 Web: Visit this site »

This sailing club is right on Magdalena Beach in the Bay of Santander. It takes its name from Horadada Island which is opposite the beach and where, legend has it, the ship carrying the heads of the executed martyrs, Celedonio and Emeterio (patron saints of the city), ran aground in the third century AD. The club offers a wide range of facilities and activities, from sailing, surfing, windsurfing, paragliding and diving to other sports, such as climbing. They also organise outings to local attractions like Magdalena Palace and trips round the bay. It is possible to stay in hostel-like accommodation here, sleeping in rooms with six to eight beds apiece. Maximum capacity: 60 guests.
