Fukuhaku Deai Bridge

between Chuo Park and Nakasu, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka, Japan

This short pedestrian bridge crossing Naka River is fairly unremarkable during the day; if people are on it, they are eating lunch or relaxing in the sun. At night, however, it can become a fairly interesting spot to see. Amateur musicians (drummers, guitarists, horn players) are common, but sometimes you can catch something a little different, if not simply weird, like one-man acts. There is also a yatai stall on the Nakasu end, if you want to eat. The view of Nakasu's myriad lights reflecting across the river may appeal to your romantic sensibilities.
