This park is popularly known as the Parque de la Vaca (Cow Park) because of the statue in the middle. It is situated in the west, on the way in to the city via the old N-611 highway. Covering a total of 125,000 m2, it is one of Santander's largest green areas and particularly important to the inhabitants of the nearby neighbourhood of Cazona. In the park, you can visit the church of Nuestra Senora de Montes Claros. Although not on the usual tourist circuit, it makes a good place to escape from the bustle of the city to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet.
