Each year on December 13th (the festival of Santa Lucia), the small centre of San Giovanni in Marignano on the road to Cattolica from Rimini dedicates a full day to the religious festival with folkloristic entertainment and traditional shows. Market stalls offer birds, doves, ornamental fish and displays of farm machinery and vintage cars. Then there are theatrical and musical performances and games in this winter celebration that marks the onset of Christmas.
