Rocafuerte 2059, Quito, EcuadorCasa de Los Siete Patios is an attractive construction, for it reflects the architectonic tastes of the colonial period. It is well worth a visit to this unique house, located in the historical center of Quito, which was constructed in the second half of the 19th Century, and redesigned in 1991, when ownership passed to the City Council. The structure is large and spacious, with seven interior patios. The gallery, which connects different parts of the building, is built around the seven patios, each one different. This house is a testimony of the popular experience that transformed single family dwellings into collective housing. The restoration undoubtedly has left a contemporary stamp on the building. It is a good place to get acquainted with the traditions and infrastructure of the past.
