Capilla Maria AuxiliadoraDon Bosco, León y Valparaíso, Quito, EcuadorSituated in the traditional neighborhood of La Tola, at the end of a narrow street, this chapel was constructed at the beginning of the 20th Century, between 1901 and 1910, by father Jacinto Pankeri. The chapel has a single nave, with a covered transept, and a dome that rests on columns. It is a replica of the sanctuary of the Virgin of Turin, in Italy. There is a tunnel that links the church with the first electric power plant, in the center. The relatively small door, rose window and facade are overshadowed by the grand dome, which sits between the turrets of the lateral parts of the building.
