Jacob's Creek Tour Down Under

For six days in January the streets of Adelaide and country South Australia have a real flavour of France about them. A plate of Brie, a glass of red wine and the chance to watch a world-class cycling race—the Tour Down Under. This 777 kilometre, six-stage race, featuring many of the world's top cyclists, is rapidly becoming one of Australia's premier sporting events. Spectators come out in force to line the route, cheering on the riders like home town favourite Stuart O'Grady and enjoying street entertainment. Most race stages commence mid-morning and are completed by mid-afternoon.

- Well organized, gave me motivation.
- Logistically was hard to get to and from the event.
“It gave me the motivation to get fit enough last years to ride the 134km event! Awesome event, however next years event I think will be better as it wont' be such a logistical nightmare getting to and from the event. Last year you had to get to Magnum for a 7am start, then get back to mannum, then get home. Made for a ridiculously long day!”
