The AAPT sponsored men's hard court tennis championship is played at Memorial Drive in early January each year. As a crucial warm-up for the Australian Open the tournament attracts many of the world's leading players. Both men's singles and doubles are contested with world ranking points at stake. In the heat of the Adelaide summer, players and spectators alike are made to sweat.
