It belonged to Maria Augusta Urrutia, a distinguished lady from Quito's high society, who lived from 1901 to 1987. She dedicated her life to charity for those in need. In the museum, there are everyday objects dating back to the 19th and early 20th Century that were typically used in the houses of Quito's aristocracy.

“Some days ago, I was the main guide in this museum and I can say that this is the best place in Quito - Ecuador, if you want to know about the rich style of live in 10 century. So if you want to visit go to Garcia Moreno Street or 7 crosses street (is the same) and you walk 20 meters and you arrive to the museum it is next to a silver shop.” Popular Attractions in Quito
