Want to explore the oceans off Nassau's coast on your own? Rent a boat from Coral Reef Charters. This is the only rental agency on the island that will let you drive the boat, giving you the opportunity to be truly independent. You can rent a sport-fishing boat, a sport runabout or a sailboat. Boats are fully equipped, with swim platforms, coolers, anchors, life vests, VHF radios and more. Prior to taking out a vessel, you'll need to go through a thorough briefing. A half-day rental starts at US$175 (not including deposit or insurance), while a full-day rental costs as little as US$350.
