Established in 1936, the 40 hectares of Centennial Park remain a peaceful and dignified place of burial. The rose gardens where ashes are scattered are a blaze of pink, white, apricot and burgundy. Equally catching are the rows and columns of simple headstones on the lawns dedicated to the memory of South Australian ex-servicemen and women. The Jubilee Chapel complex comprises three private chapels. Within the foyer, displays reflect the park's relationship with the community as a whole. Free guided tours of Centennial Park take place at 11am on the first Wednesday of each month.
