Peitou Folk Art Museum32 Youya Rd, Peitou District, Taipei, TaiwanTel: +886 (0)2 2891 2318 Peitou Folk Art Museum was originally a Japanese military officers' club built in the early 1900s during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. After the Japanese left, the building operated as a special resort for diplomats and governors, and was eventually sold to a private institution and converted into this present-day museum in 1983. Six exhibition rooms display folk & aboriginal art, traditional clothing, traditional toys, and Peitou-related items and information on the history of Taipei. The museum itself stands inside a Japanese style garden, which, in itself, is a pleasure to visit. Admission: TWD100.
