The elegant Palm House, which opened in 1877, is recognised as the finest Victorian glasshouse in Australia and houses a fascinating display of Madagascan flora. Conversely, the space-age Bicentennial Conservatory encloses tropical rainforest plants from northern Australia, the Pacific islands and Asia.
