Learning to sail on the waters around Moreton Bay has to rival any location in the world. With a choice of courses, there is scope for the curious and the serious. Time spent on the Red Rizla or Winkali yachts will enable you to combine some practical skills with the wonders of the region. Trips include stopovers at National Park Islands and snorkelling amongst the coral reefs, such as Lady Musgrave. Migrating humpback whales prove a wondrous distraction between June and October. The one-day course provides lunch and light refreshment, whilst the live-aboard courses are fully catered. Cost:One-day introductory course AUD125; two-day introductory course AUD250; competent crew certificate (four days) AUD550. Booking: Phone bookings only; pick-up arrangements on request. Yachts sail from Manly Harbour.
