This beach is about 3km northeast of Santander, on the San Pedro del Mar river. It can be reached via the Monte district on the outskirts of the city limits.The beach is sheltered, boasts fine ochre colored sand and covers about 16,000m2 in total. It's a good idea to keep your shoes on here, as the underlying rock is exposed in various places. This is a popular spot for fishing and also has its own parking, life guards and cleaning every day and bins for your rubbish.Bus information: +34 942 21 0725.
