The Toledan covered passages are located in the centre of the city near the calle Santo Tome and El Pasadizo del Greco. The passage-ways join two buildings by means of a narrow street and give access to squares or other larger streets. The Santa Anita passage leads to the Colegio de Doncellas Nobles and the Santa Clara passage leads to the Santo Domingo convent. The Santo Domingo passage is the longest in the city. All of them combine dark and light stages at the same time. These passages have witnessed some of the passionate history of Castille and heard the clash of swords in pursuit of love. The ceilings are formed by vaults supported on stone walls. They are an exciting place for visitors to explore.
